Privacy Policy
What TimerHub collects, why, and the choices you have — in plain language.
Last updated: November 4, 2026
The short version
- The tools run in your browser. The dates, cities, times and timer settings you enter are not sent to our server.
- Preferences and your Pomodoro history are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only.
- There are no accounts and no ads. We never sell personal information.
- We count visits with Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies, except for visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Details are in our cookie policy.
- If you use the contact form, we receive what you type into it and use it only to reply.
1. Who we are
This policy covers timerhub.app (“TimerHub”, “we”, “us”), a free set of time and date tools. It explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it is used and the choices you have. You can reach us through the contact form.
2. What you enter into the tools
World clocks, converters, calculators, calendars, countdowns and timers work out their answers in your browser using your device's clock and its built-in time zone data. What you type or pick — cities, dates, times, durations, labels — is not sent to us.
Some settings are remembered between visits using your browser's local storage: your world clock cities, theme, timer and alarm settings, the visual timer's style, your reaction-test best, and the Pomodoro timer's focus history (when each completed session started and ended, and how long it ran). This stays on your device and is never sent to us or shared. Clear the Pomodoro history with “Clear history” under the timer, or remove everything by clearing this site's data in your browser.
3. Location, notifications and screen wake
These browser features are used only when you choose them, and your browser asks you first:
- Location — Sunrise & Sunset, Moon Phase and similar tools can use your device's location to show local results. The coordinates are used in your browser for the calculation and are not stored or sent to us. If you decline, the tools fall back to your time zone or a city you pick.
- Notifications — timers and alarms can show a system notification when they finish. The notification is created by your browser on your device; nothing about it reaches us.
- Keeping the screen on — some timers ask your browser to keep the screen awake while they run. This involves no data.
4. Shared countdown links
When you share a countdown, its date, time zone and title are written into the link itself so the page and its preview image can show them. Anyone with the link can see that information, and like any page address it passes through our hosting provider when the link is opened. We don't store shared countdowns anywhere else. Please don't put personal information, such as a full name or address, in a countdown title you plan to share.
Widgets on other websites. Site owners can put some TimerHub tools on their own pages (see widgets). A widget is a TimerHub page shown in a frame: it works out its answers in your browser like the tools here, loads no analytics and no ads, and sets no cookies. Settings you change in a widget stay in your browser's local storage. Our hosting provider records the request like any page load, and the site showing the widget has its own privacy policy. A custom countdown widget carries its date, time zone and title in its address, like a shared countdown link.
5. Contact form
The contact form is the only way to reach us. When you send a message we receive the name, reply address, topic, subject and message you enter. We use them only to read and answer your message, look into what you reported, and keep a reasonable record of the conversation. The message is delivered to our inbox by email through our email provider (Google).
To stop spam, the form has a hidden field that people never see and checks how quickly it was filled in. Your IP address is combined with your reply address into a one-way hash, used briefly to limit repeated submissions; it is not stored with your message. If a Cloudflare Turnstile check appears on the form, Cloudflare receives the usual details of that request under its own privacy policy.
We aim to delete routine messages within 12 months after the matter is resolved, unless keeping them longer is reasonably necessary. You can ask us to delete a message at any time through the contact form. Please don't include sensitive personal information in your message.
6. Analytics and hosting
These services receive usage information when you visit — the page viewed, the page that referred you, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and page-load timings. None of them receive what you enter into a tool.
- Google Analytics 4 — counts page views so we can see which tools are used and how people find the site. It sets first-party cookies (
_gaand_ga_*) to tell visits apart, except for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, where it runs without cookies and sends only cookieless pings. Its advertising features and Google signals are off, and Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google handles this data as described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. - Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights — cookie-free page-view and performance measurement from our hosting provider. They don't use cookies or track you across other websites. See the Vercel Privacy Policy.
- Hosting logs — the site is hosted on Vercel, which, like any web host, briefly records technical request data (IP address, time, page requested, browser) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
7. Advertising
TimerHub shows no ads and no advertising cookies are set. If we ever add ads to keep the site free, we will update this policy and the cookie policy before they appear, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
8. Cookies and your choices
TimerHub itself sets no cookies to make the tools work; the only cookies are the Google Analytics ones above. The cookie policy lists each one, how long it lasts and how to turn it off. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Every tool works with cookies disabled.
9. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
Where data-protection law such as the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests to run, secure and improve the site, to count visits without cookies, and to answer messages you send us. We would rely on your consent for any analytics or advertising cookies in those regions, and would ask for it before setting them. You can withdraw consent at any time; doing so does not affect processing that already took place.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data-protection authority.
US state privacy laws (including California): we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, and we show no ads.
Because we hold almost no personal information ourselves, analytics requests are best handled through the controls linked above. For anything else — including messages you sent us — use the contact form. We may need to confirm a request before completing it, and will respond within the time the applicable law requires.
11. International transfers
Our hosting, analytics and email providers may process data in the United States and other countries. They use recognised safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for transfers from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland.
12. Security and retention
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and we use reasonable technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Contact-form messages are kept as described in section 5. Third-party services keep data under their own retention policies, linked above.
13. Children
TimerHub is a general-audience site. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us through the contact form and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes, such as adding an analytics or advertising provider, are posted here before they take effect.
15. Contact
Questions or requests about this policy can be sent through the contact form.
