Frequently asked questions
Can I share my countdown?
Yes. Press Share to send a link with your event name, date and time zone built in. Anyone who opens it sees the same live countdown, converted to their own clock, and chat apps show a preview card with the name and the days to go.
Why does my shared countdown show a different name?
Shared links are public, so their names are cleaned up: links, web addresses, emoji and hidden characters are removed, names are cut at 60 characters, and a few words are replaced with a generic title. The preview image shows a generic title for names outside the Latin alphabet.
What happens after the event passes?
The tool automatically switches to counting up, showing how long ago the moment occurred.
Does it keep running if I close the tab?
The countdown is based on the actual date and time, so it's always accurate whenever you reopen it — no need to keep the tab open.
